Somethings happen in life that you
are not really expecting, but you knew
in your heart you would have to face
someday.

Some decisions are pretty easy to make;
like, "what am I wearing today?"
While other decisions take a bit more
thought; what am I looking for in
a relationship or do I even want one.

Either way our decisions lead us in the direction we will go.
So, I will endeavor to make wise decisions so that I will end
up in a state of contentment.

I'm not afraid!

Starting A New Chapter

Sometimes life calls for refocus.
I was reminded of this recently
after praying for change.

Sometimes its about me and
sometimes its not.

In order for me to change,
I have to re-focus my vision.

I love life and love people.
Today, I am making it about me
and others.

in the great Northwest where it
rains all the time, so it rains all
of the other months as well.

The outcome, the beautiful green you see all around you.

Some other beautiful things in life; seeing through the storms and the rains of life to all of the beauty the "it" creates - like fighting to understand someone you have a misunderstanding with; the harmony is unsurpassed.

Pray and Believe

I was praying the other week. I often pray the word of God,
so I remembered the scripture that said the desires of the
righteous are only good.
So I prayed that "...since my desires were only good, God
help me to have the right desires."

So for the past week or so, I have not had the desire
to overeat. I have had the desire to workout more than ever.
I have a strong desire to become the minimalist I have always
wanted to be.

Just because negative "things"

What are you doing to recognize BHM?

I celebrated "Black History Month" more when I was a child.
I was fascinated with all of the contributions that African Americans made to this country, not knowing that many of those contributions were world wide.

Today we do not have to say, "Hey we get credit for making that!"; as loudly as we had to 30 years ago; I believe we are recognized more as individuals.

There are still back biters, haterz, thieves, and robbers out there who will not give credit,
where credit is due. We do not have to worry about them. Those types are exposed everyday.

So what am I doing? Celebrating, not only, the triumphs of the past, but the triumphs
of my past.

I love that the word of God has an answer for every situation of life. The word says to work. So I will work. My assurance is that God is working in me to "will and to do." His strength gives me the courage to face life daily.
