Something Wrong

So since the last post, I suffered a set back. 
As a result I gained back 10 lbs. 
Over the past several months, I've
analyzed what I did right and wrong in
the process of juicing.

Right - consumed juice 5 to 7 times per week, 
           4 cups of water or more 
Wrong - did not work out enough to retain muscle mass

This time I am doing strength training and walking, 
so that when I lose the weight, I keep more muscle.

I start tomorrow.

Weight An Update

Okay, so here is my current weight;

I should weigh less, but I kinda freaked out after I lost the 7 lbs in one week, so 
I slowed down significantly.

I weighed myself twice this morning. This scale said- 135.8 and 136.2, so 
I am going with 136 lbs even.

So, I am down 16.4 lbs with less than 15 lbs to go.

Body, Mind, and Spirit. 

I am getting the body right, inside and out, so that I can
go the distance.

Find the combination that works for you, and go for it!

Substance

Or the lack thereof, is the topic of the day.

The definition of substance;
the subject matter of thought, discourse, study, etc.

I've been on this surface "thing" for a while in the attempt
not to take myself too seriously. 

The problem with this direction, there is not much depth or "the
above mentioned" in my writing/discourse with everyone
and no one. 




Why do I blog?  I started this blog in hopes of
inspiring, whoever stopped by, to keep going - in spite of...
As long as you are moving forward, God can help you
find your path and platform to effect your world.

We all have gifts and talents. Let's learn how to exploit the "beep"
out of several of them, not only to profit ourselves, but others as well.

So I will stick to light hearted and start back posting more thought 
provoking topics as well.

It's Friday Y'all!

Ha ha it's Friday, no matter what happened during the week,
it's Friday!
Get up and thank God. (Praise 💃💃💃)

Okay, today is cheat day. I am going to eat a twister donut, 
but before I eat that, I am going to this:
Sautéed spinach with an avocado. 

It's also Fun Friday, so I am straightening the 'fro, 
for that 'big hair' look.

Cheat Day

So today was cheat day.

I really wanted a grilled cheese sandwich,
so I made one with avocado and some tartar sauce.
(This is a pic of some one else's.)

It smelled better than it tasted, unfortunately
I could not un-eat it.

So now I am going to continue to juice and eat vegan,
while gradually adding more foods back in my diet.

Mardi Gras and Lent




Fat Tuesday, ahh the joys of over indulging.
I did last week and boy did I pay.

Backstory; in January I watched the the following 
documentary:
It's about a guy who was, as the movie is so aptly named,
Fat, sick, and nearly dead. He had indulged in a lifestyle of
excess for many years and his body showed the results.

So I decided to take the journey as well, but I did not want 
to start until March 1st.
Side note: Mardi Gras was on March 4th.

Anyway, the Thursday before I had some great Mexican food
from Azteca, which I have not had in months.

Mmm...the Pollo a la Crema with steamed flour tortillas was flavorful.
You must try this dish.

The next day I had fried chicken, Mmm Mmm, but then the plumbing
backed up and I had major gas pain for several days.

The "laugh now, cry later" adage is so true.

It's now day 9 of my Reboot and I am feeling my way through.
I am down 7 pounds, and am adding strength training to keep 
muscle tone.

So, what did I give up for Lent?
An unhealthy lifestyle and romance novels.

Funny How Time...

Last time I posted, I talked about - "I Can, I Will, I Must - Overcome!"

I've done some pretty awesome things in the past. 
I am sure you have too,
But my best days are in front of me, not behind me. 



So this quarter I am shifting gears
and getting back into drive, that's right drive.


I am remembering, what motivated me thus far and 
what will keep me going to the end of my journey.

Remember your first loves and your dreams. They are still valid.
So make a list and do some of things you dreamed of, I am.
